Smart businesses know that recycling newspapers, bottles, cans and plastic is good for business. But, just because it won’t fit in your grey bin doesn’t mean you can’t be green!
Recycling makes good business sense and while many businesses already recycle, an estimated 14 percent recycle nothing or cardboard only. As a result, businesses dispose of tons of trash that could otherwise be recycled. The state of South Carolina’s goal is to recycle 35 percent of its municipal waste. Recycling 80,000 tons of paper and containers each year will result in greenhouse gas emission reductions equivalent to driving nearly 42,000 cars for one year.
Responsible recycling just became easier thanks to the Vista’s new Office Paper and Cardboard Recycling Center at Wayne and Washington Streets, adjacent to Memorial Park. And don’t forget about the City’s larger recycling facility located at 2600 Bull Street!

Make sure you’re a part of the Vista’s eco-friendly vison by practicing product stewardship. By reducing unnecessary waste, your business is more likely to operate more efficiently, too.
